Unique Eco Green Organic Waste Management Systems
This page presents some of the most frequently asked questions about UEG systems. In order to receive more information please fill in the contact form at the bottom of the page and one of our representatives will contact you as soon as possible.
Biological waste, after appropriate treatment, can be used to :
- turned into compost, i.e. in biological soil fertilizer,
- become a renewable energy source (RES) such as Biofuel or Recycled Oil.
In addition, recycling biological waste reduces the amount of municipal waste sent to landfills, thus reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting the environment by avoiding pollution of surface water, groundwater and soil in case of an accident.
Biological waste is converted into fuel (biofuel) through anaerobic digestion, a controlled (in reactors) biological process in which biological waste is decomposed in the absence of oxygen by micro-organisms to produce biogas (methane and carbon dioxide).
The benefits of anaerobic digestion arise from the uses of its products. Biogas is possible to:
- power internal combustion engines, gas burners for electricity generation and for heat production,
- supply electricity and heat,
- used as a motor fuel after upgrading,
- used as domestic heating fuel after its upgrading.
- carry out simultaneous production of liquid fertiliser.
Aerobic digestion is an environmentally friendly process in which biological waste (e.g. leaves, grasses, twigs, bark and food waste) is converted through a biological process and partial decomposition by soil microorganisms into an organic and nutrient-rich substance called compost, as aerobic digestion is a bacterial process that takes place in the presence of oxygen.
- With today’s technology, facilities and operations do not produce odours,
- The aerobic process produces a usable product, which in addition to being a soil fertiliser, can maintain soil moisture, reduce erosion by improving infiltration and reduce runoff,
- The aerobic process – composting can help meet national waste reduction and recycling targets,
- The aerobic process – composting adds carbon to the soil resulting in a reduction of greenhouse gases.
100 represents the daily capacity of 100 kg of mixed organic waste that the machine can digest. Foods containing carbohydrates are digested in a different time than foods containing fibre. Each UEG Compact System has a weighing system so that the daily incoming waste can be controlled.
If more kilograms (kg) are placed, an overload problem is created, which gradually limits the life of the machine – system. The loading of 100 kg/day based on our example can be done in the form of a one-off or even in parts during the day as long as the system is not in overload condition.
No, decomposition and composting is an aerobic natural process that can be found in a forest or a lake (where they don’t smell). We simply accelerate the process through UEG systems. Besides, our systems have special filters and UV system.
Of course we can. All (compact) UEG models of our systems do not have the ability to give us oil for recycling (this is only the case for systems that contain the letter L in their code). This oil can therefore be collected by our company against payment.
As for the solid residue produced by our UEG systems, it can be used as organic fertilizer and soil substrate due to its high quality.
Our specialized Sales Consultants can guide you, covering all your needs, with the following information:
- The type of your business
- The location of your business
- The type of waste produced
- The amount of waste produced / daily
- The cost of collecting your waste at the Municipality
Based on the Unilever survey, as presented HERE, which took place in the summer of 2019 with the participation of 11 Greek 5-star hotels, the total daily waste per guest is approximately 0.3 kg.
This information enables us to calculate the daily consumption of Organic Waste of each company, resulting in the most appropriate choice of the Aerobic Compact Systems, supported by Unique Eco Green.
Regarding the selection process of UEG Anaerobic Systems, the relevant questionnaire presented HERE should be completed in order for our specialized Sales Consultants to guide you to the most suitable choice.
UEG Systems are divided into three (3) main categories:
- the Aerobic Systems (Compact) where they provide us with soil fertilizer, water and oil (raw material for the creation of biofuel)
- the Anaerobic Systems where they provide us with biofuel and liquid fertilizer
- the Pellet Production Systems where we provide pellet
Currently, the Aerobic Compact Systems have touch screens that give access to all parameter settings (weight, date, time etc.), system control (on, off etc.) and possible diagnostic information so that the operator of the system can change the data if necessary in real time while at the same time another user has the ability to monitor (via smartphone / tablet) the system data remotely as the UEG Systems have an Ethernet port. Our systems operate in Android & Windows environment.
UEG Systems have special sensors that weigh accurately. When the system is installed in your site, the machine is aligned and the software takes the weight of the empty machine as the first weighing. From this point onwards, any organic waste added to the system is weighed and recorded at any time.
The warranty, according to the European Union directive, lasts for 2 years and provides free replacement of all spare parts, only in case of proper operation of the system – machine.
Yes, there is the possibility to buy the system.
Unique Eco Green is able to cover the training of the personnel and the transportation of the product to the warehouses of the transport company in your area, as opposed to the cost of installation, which is the responsibility of each customer.
